With the unlucky Matiss Karro sidelined following an injury sustained while training at Lommel last Wednesday (Feb 20) and with the bikes already on their way to Qatar for the opening GP, the STR KTM team has turned to Cumbrian Jamie Law to replace its injured MX1 rider, Matiss Karro, for the first two GPs in Qatar and Thailand.
Jamie has been showing some impressive early-season form and never one to shirk a challenge, he jumped at the chance to join the team again, as he did last season in similar circumstances.
Team owner, Steve Turner said: "I'm more than happy to have Jamie back in the team. We needed someone to jump in at very short notice and with Jamie having done the same last season he was the obvious choice."
"It's a massive blow to lose Matiss before we've even started the season but hopefully it won't be too long before he's back. We're looking forward to seeing Jamie and his team-mate, Jonathan Barragan, opening their campaigns this weekend in Qatar.”Law steps in to replace injured Karro
