Lomax victory for Pearson
By TMX Archives on 8th Apr 10

In its traditional Easter Monday slot, the South Liverpool Motor Club held the 60th Lomax Cup Trial, when a full house of 120 riders turned up at the start in the village of Glyn Ceiriog, near Chirk in North Wales.
In a closely contested event, Sherco mounted Chris Pearson took the overall win on four, but Dan Thorpe, winner of this trial on no less than six times in the last decade, stamped his authority on the ACU Novogar series with his third consecutive win. He now leads this championship, despite heavy snow preventing him from making it to the first round but north east rider John Crinson pushed him all the way, to finish just one mark behind, after dropping his final mark on the second last section of the day.
