Mike Brown Memorial and Huck Cup 2022 preview

On Good Friday (April 15), the Mike Brown Memorial and the Huck Cup make a welcome return to the British motocross schedule with a revamped Marshfield Moto Park ready to host a sweet line-up of riders, including MXGB red-plate holders Tommy Searle and Conrad Mewse.
After what we've collectively been through over the last two years, you don't need me to clarify why this is the first running of the popular event since 2019. And after that two-year hiatus, this special British motocross event is back with a bang! Here's what you can expect at the 31st edition of the MBM.
Since 2017, the Mike Brown Memorial has also incorporated the Huck Cup in memory of Mark Hucklebridge. The event has arguably become one of the best-attended meetings on the British motocross calendar.
MBM has a very different vibe to typical pro races, with a relaxed atmosphere, top riders can enjoy racing without the usual pressures associated with national and international motos.
Lined up at the gate on Good Friday will be 2019's Huck Cup winner Tommy Searle, who went 1-1. He'll be joined by some of the best talents in British MX, including 2019's runner-up Conrad Mewse and MX Nationals red-plate holder Josh Gilbert.
Tom Brown of Motoxtreme has again done a great job in coordinating high calibre rider interest; other confirmed entries include John Adamson, Adam Chatfield, Jake Shipton, Jamie Skuse, Josh Waterman, Jordan Carter, Luke Dean, John May, Tom Church, Tom Grimshaw, Glen McCormick, Ben Franklin and young hotshot Alfie Jones.
In addition to pro riders, the AMCA has classes for juniors, seniors, and experts on the bill.
One of the special MX events in Britain loved by fans and riders alike has been growing since 1989 and started as the Old Friends Race. It was a celebratory gathering of people that raced with Mike over the years and has now become a significant fundraiser.

Get yourself to Marshfield Moto Park, Rushmead Lane, Marshfield, South Glos, SN14 8LJ. Camping is available from Thursday, racing on Good Friday. Spectator entry is 10, and site amenities include Lilleys Cider Bar and music.
