Check out this little monster... Montesa have just revealed their most versatile model - the Montesa 4RIDE. 25 years after the launch of the Escape, Montesa presents a model not specifically targeted to trials.
Montesa is celebrating its 70-year history in style. And having only just announced the new Cota 300RR a few months ago, the brand has surprised the off-road community with the announcement of his upcoming release, the new 4RIDE, which was presented today to the press at the headquarters of Honda in Barcelona, Spain.
The new 4RIDE Montesa is determined to reach a wider audience beyond the trials, reinventing a new concept for offroad enthusiasts to enjoy their surroundings.
The 4RIDE keeps the identity of the Montesa range, whose main features are its advanced 4-stroke technology, environmentally friendly, reliability and quality of components. The bike has also been completely developed by the technical team of the Montesa Honda factory.
The development team has worked the 4RIDE based on the Cota 4RT260 for a more adventure-oriented motorcycle, all with remarkable ease of use, lightness and versatility. For this, the thermodynamic group has a completely revised exchange ratio to ensure greater ride comfort and performance over long distances. Furthermore, ergonomics are also revised for the same purpose, incorporating a seat and raising the height of the suspensions on both the fork and the damper.
Another aspect to note, especially considering its adventure orientation, is the extension of the fuel tank to 4.4 liters (1.9 liters compared to its more trial sisters), representing a range approved to about 120 Km.
In addition, under the seat (easily removable without tools) is cargo space where you can store a jacket, gloves or any object that would be useful on our tour.
The 4RIDE model will be presented to the public at the next EICMA in Milan from 19 to 22 November
