Alessandro Lupino pushed through the pain barrier to secure fifth and fourth-place finishes at the final round of the French Elite Motocross Championship in Normandy.

Racing for the Beddini Racing Ducati Factory MX2 Team aboard the Desmo250 MX, the Italian star suffered a heavy crash early in the timed practice session at Rauville La Place, leaving him sore for the rest of the day. Despite the setback, Lupino lined up for both motos, taking fifth in the opener and fighting back from seventh to finish fourth in race two - logging the third-fastest lap along the way.

His efforts earned him sixth overall on the day and valuable data for the team in race conditions.

“It wasn’t easy,” said Lupino. “I hit the ground hard in practice and was in pain all day, but we’d come a long way, so I decided to race. The results were decent, but the main aim was to get time on the bike and we did that.”

The reigning Italian Prestige MX1 Champion now turns his focus to the rest of the season aboard the Ducati-powered MX2 machine.
