The Michelin MX Nationals fires back into action this weekend (August 8-9) with round five of the series at the iconic Hawkstone Park.
In the Pro MX1 class Martin Barr is now tied for the series lead with Kristian Whatley who was forced to miss the previous round through injury. Martin's compatriot Graeme Irwin will be looking to reduce the gap on the leaders and overhaul former team-mate Harri Kullas who sits third in the standings.
Steven Lenoir leads the way in Pro MX2 and will be chased by series regulars Jake Millward and Michael Eccles who are second and third in the standings.
Also looking for more wins will be Matiss Karro and Adam Sterry, the only two riders who have defeated Lenoir in the series.
In the Experts MX1 class Leighton Holmes is tied with Will Orritt for the series lead with round four winner Luke Mellows just 17 points adrift.
Expert MX2 leader Keiran Banks will be defending his championship lead from Mitch Lewis who took the overall at Weston.
The youth classes see Lewis Hall with a commanding lead over Louie Kessel in SW85 but both will be chased all the way by Sam Nunn who goes well in sand. BW85 championship leader Dylan Woodcock is sidelined due to injury but Jack Bintcliffe, fresh from his heroics at Lommel, will be racing.
Also looking to move up the standings will be Jed Etchels and Ben Clark as they try to grab a podium position.
The dominant Henry Williams heads the field in MXY2 with an impressive 118-point lead over James Carpenter. However, with just 18 points separating third to sixth the chasing pack has plenty to race for.
With a full line-up of Junior Clubman all eyes will be on the usual suspects of Lee Tolan, Tony Cadman and Jake Thompson. Also look out for Amie Goodlad, the leading female competitor, who is currently seventh in the standings.
The meeting will also include round three of the Euro Evo series.
Admission is just £10 for a weekend adult ticket.
