Reading like a whos who of British motocross history, some of the biggest names in the sport over the last 50-odd years will be turning their wheels next month at the Hawkstone Park Festival of Legends.

Promoted by Cumbria Twinshock, the two-day event on September 10-11 will feature racing both days with the highlight a get-together of some of the sport's biggest stars from the 1960s to the ‘90s on the Sunday.

The list of riders who've accepted invitations is a long one and includes 1981 world 250cc champion Neil Hudson, former British champs Vic Allan, Alan Clough, Bryan Goss, Freddie Mayes, Geoff Mayes, Pete Mathia and Neil Prince plus a host of top-35 runners from back in the day.

As well as racing for Twin-shock and Evo-era machines there will be memorabilia, photos, programmes and interviews. Fans are also invited to bring their own memorabilia - shirts, helmets, trophies and pictures etc - for display in the marquee.
