News Motocross

In a press release delivered at a time when everyone should have gone home for the weekend, the promoters of the Motul ACU British Motocross Championship – which fires into life at Hawkstone Park on March 30 – have confirmed the venue for Round Five of the championship (other media outlets who copied and pasted the press release without reading it are claiming it’s both Round Five and Round Six but more fool them) that is scheduled to run on August 10.

However, moving past that we can indeed confirm that the venue for Round Five is Landrake in Cornwall. The event will be run by Matt Bates and the ASL Active team who will be slapping on the sun cream as they step out of the artificially lit arenas that they run the Arenacross series in and enjoy the British summertime at a venue they’ve visited plenty of times in the past with the Red Bull Pro Nationals. ASL Active will serve as the organising club for this much-anticipated event, working closely with Phil Congdon and his team at Landrake to ensure a great event for riders and spectators.

“It's been a long time since we staged our last outdoor Motocross event, but what better venue to return to than where our Red Bull Pro Nationals journey began back in 2013, with Phil at Landrake Moto Parc,” said Matt. “On behalf of the ASL (Arenacross) team, I'm really looking forward to working with Paul Irwin and the team at the ACU in helping put the Motocross British Championship back to a place where fans, riders and the industry can positively enjoy.”
