Team CLS Kawasaki Monster Energy's Tommy Searle will return to MXGP action in this weekend's Dutch GP, just eight weeks after injury in Thailand.
Following the horrific crash during the second round of the FIM World MXGP Motocross Championship in Thailand, Tommy Searle and the CLS team have decided to schedule his comeback for the sixth round of the series at Valkenswaard in southern Hollandthis weekend.
Following successful surgery to his wrist in Thailand, Tommy has recovered quickly thanks to a tough training regime in the gym, cycling and mountain biking, and was able to get back on his Kawasaki KX450F one week ago.
Tommy has now been given the all clear from his doctors to race the next GP, and the English rider is delighted that he can return to the CLS awning alongside the team staff and his MX2 teammates.
Tommy Searle: "I am looking forward to racing Valkenswaard. Although I'm not 100% and have only been on the bike for a few days I want to get back out racing so that I can build my speed and fitness back over the coming weeks. Jean Jacques and Gaël have been great and have supported me the whole time; I would like to thank them for this.”
