Ghidinelli Racing and Shot are joining forces
By Team TMX on 26th Nov 19
Ghidinelli Racing, the young and ambitious Italian team from Brescia, has a new gear partner with Shot.
The Yamaha supported squad managed by Morris Ghidinelli picked up EMX250 podiums in 2018 and 2019 and looks forward to an exciting 2020 season with an extensive and promising line-up.
Ghidinelli Racing earlier teamed up with former world champion David Philippaerts to coach its riders. No stranger to fostering young talents 'DP19' wants to help the Ghidinelli Racing riders to reach their full potential. Both Samuele Bernardini (MXGP) and Morgan Lesiardo (MX2) will race the European rounds of the Motocross World Championship alongside a domestic calendar.
The team counts on the experienced Giuseppe Tropepe and Matteo Puccinelli to make a name for themselves in the highly regarded EMX250 series. Last but not least EMX Open rider Davide Bonini aims to get back to his best shape after injury. Joining his riders in Italian races Philippaerts will add to what looks to be one of the strongest team line-ups in the 2020 Italian championship.
Morris Ghidinelli: It has been an exciting and productive last few months for the Ghidinelli Racing Yamaha team. We have all elements in place for a strong 2020 campaign now and were super motivated for the new season! To sign former European EMX250 champion Morgan Lesiardo for MX2 was the icing on the cake. However, none of this would be possible without our partners. To have a big name like Shot Race Gear joining us is a great feeling. It shows that people are taking notice of the project were building together. Im proud our riders will be racing in the coolest gear next year!
Ghislain Huot, CEO Shot Race Gear: The timing to start our new cooperation with Ghidinelli Racing Yamaha couldnt have been any better. We just entered the Italian market with Shot Race Gear, so to start this new challenge with one of the strongest Italian teams on our side is obviously a huge boost! Morris (Ghidinelli) brings a lot of energy and drive to the scene which is awesome to be a part of. Combined with the talent of the riders, the experience and determination of David (Phillipaerts) they have all the tools they need to step it up in 2020.
