Team Spain have named their rider line-up for the 2019 MXoN which this year is in Assen on September 28/29.
The Motocross Commission of the Royal Spanish Motorcycling Federation have revealed the three riders that will travel to Assen, Netherlands next month.
As expected Jorge Prado will step up to a 450 machine and Team Spain have chosen to put the world MX2 champion into the premier MXGP class. Although Prado is still only 18, incredibly this will be his fourth MXdN.
Carlos Campano will again take on the Open class and Iker Larranaga will take on the world's best in MX2.
Team Spain delivered a seventh overall last year and dream of making it onto the podium for the first time when they travel to the man-made circuit in Assen.
Paco Rico (Team manager): "I think we have formed a good team and the three riders are in a good place to perform at their highest level. We have several weeks left to finish preparing everything in the best possible way and as always we will do it with all the desire of the world."
Jorge Prado (MXGP): "This year will be my fourth year representing Spain. I am super proud to do it, I will do my best. This year I am going to a new category and I think we can do it very well since in this circuit I have had very good results. We will try to take Spain to the top."
Iker Larranaga (MX2): "I am looking forward to the national team after a year of absence due to the injury. This year I will also be present in the MX2 category, which is now where I feel most comfortable. We have a competitive team and we have the best rider in the world, which will be decisive. I will give it my all!"
Carlos Campano (MXOPEN): "I am very happy to be part of the national team again, I am looking forward after all the bad luck I had last year. It's been a very good year for me, both in Spain and Brazil, and I think we have a good opportunity to make a great result with this team."
