Innovate Motorsport step in after Future West pull the plug BRITISH OPEN class supercross champion Jordan Rose heads the entry list for England's first indoor event of 2005. Brand-new British supercross promoters Innovate Motorsport have taken over the running of the Birmingham NEC event on February 19 after the original promoters Future West pulled the plug due to 'technical difficulties'. Luckily for UK race fans, Innovate have sorted the problem and the perennially sold-out NEC race will go ahead with classes for youth, amateur and Pro-class racers. As well as current champion Rose, ex-champs Neil Prince and Lewis Gregory are confirmed for the event along with Ryan Voase and Innovate Honda teamsters Monster Mark Hucklebridge and the Smyth brothers - Danny and Jody. And there's some 10-inch action too in the Pro-celebrity minibike race. Fast 50s champion of the world Stuart Hughes starts as favourite but madmen Andrew Titley and Trevor Buckley should also be up for the win. The celebrities are as yet to be confirmed but there's a couple of soap stars, MotoGP racers and blagging journalists who are bound to get in on the act. Tickets for the event are selling fast so if you want to see some top-notch indoor action get on the blower quick to 0870 9094133 or check out the NEC website at www.necgroup.co.uk and follow the links to buy your supercross tickets. Admission costs from £18 upwards for adults with kids and old-folk getting a small discount from the regular price.
