The Scott Amateur Nationals heads into its sixth season with a new name and logo as the championships success story continues.

Rechristened the Acerbis Amateur Nationals for 2016, the series has been extended to nine rounds at some of the country's top tracks with, for the first time, a trip across the Irish Sea to Doon in Country Offlay.

"It is with great pleasure that we are now able to announce that Acerbis will become the primary sponsor for the Amateur Nationals,” said Acerbis UK's Wynn Connell. "This new level of support will enable us to raise the profile of the championship helping us to better promote the off-road sport we love.”

Acerbis is a long-term business partner of Scott and the switch will allow for an increased level of support for the series.

Darren Hudson of series promoter CT Events is delighted with the ongoing backing.

"We're really pleased to have Acerbis on board for 2016,” he said. "The championship is going from strength to strength every year, all our dates and venues are booked for 2016 and we are ready to rock and roll.

"Without the help and support from Acerbis, Scott and Putoline Oils it wouldn't be as good as it is. We have the best bunch of riders, best medics and a quality team of marshals that follow us all around the country. It's one big family and the racing is the best you will see anywhere in the country.”
