NIGHT of the JUMPs Basel

By TMX Archives on 23rd Apr 09

Motocross

The sheer insanity of tricks will go on. Only one week after the trick battle of Graz, the fight for World Championship points will go on. This time the Freestyle Motocross athletes will meet in Basel fort he 5th and 6th round of the FIM Freestyle MX World Chamionships. Since Remi Bizouard won both contests in Graz, he came close to leading Jose Miralles and is now only 3 points behind. So the FMX World Champ of 2008 can take the lead in Basel.

But Bizouard and Miralles have to look for US-Boy Brody Wilson and Czech Libor Podmol. They are only a few points behind them on 3rd and 4th position. And three times Vice World Champion Podmol is in good shape, as he showed in Graz. With a 1-Hand Underflip and a Nac Underflip he did two trick premiers. And Wilson ruled with new Flipcombos and tripple combos to No-Hand-Landings.

Brody Wilson

Belgium's Gilles Dejong cannot start in Basel. He got tow broken rips from his trainings crash in Graz. Therefore William van den Putte will start. And with local hero Vivian Gantner the Swiss FMX Champ 2008 will complete the field of riders. So it will be a burning atmosphere at the St. Jakobshalle in Basel this Friday and Saturday.
