Oh, Comm' all ye faithful-joyful and triumphant!

SITUATED adjacent to the Leuchars Air Force Base, near St Andrews, in Fife, Scotland, Commerton Farm hosted the third round of the Glenrothes Youth MXC's club motocross championships last Sunday, and the high-flying riders may well have been spotted on the base's radar screens!
Whilst all around was being battered by heavy rain and strong winds, Commerton Farm basked in, what could only be classed as ‘luke warm' but dry conditions and the sandy track gave a good account of itself as it became more technical and challenging as the day wore on.
A good number of riders attended the event with the Adult Open class having some close and exciting racing from front to back.
With GP rider Billy MacKenzie watching his brother Stevie thrash a Kawasaki around the sandy track, thoughts of joining him on the green machinery at the start of next year were getting him excited.
''Yes, I am looking forward to the new year and the new bikes,'' he said, ''I was on Kawasakis here as a schoolboy and had a great few seasons winning with them, so I hope to be able to repeat the glory days in green soon.”''
Stevie was a little off the pace, only being back on a bike after four months off and finished fifth overall.
Winning the Adult Open class was Glaswegian, Ross Rutherford, who's last race win helped his cause no end, that, and first and second race winners and clear leaders, Twisted 7 Kawasaki pilots Bryan MacKenzie and Rich Lawson's bikes blowing up and breaking down, resulting in DNFs.
