Raga in the swim but Bou dips out!

ADAM Raga eased into the lead of the 2007 World Indoor Trials Championship after claiming his first victory of the campaign in the third round of the series staged in Marseille, France, on Friday night. Toni Bou, runaway winner of the first two rounds, in Granada and St Petersburg, was struck by a mechanical problem and failed to make the podium, finishing down in sixth place on the night.
It was a good night for Dougie Lampkin though as the Brit nailed his first World Indoor podium of the year, finishing third behind Raga and Albert Cabestany.
The on-form Bou had been making easy progress, dropping just a single mark on the second section, an imaginative affair set over upturned boats, to equal the best score on this hazard along with Raga and new Beta team leader Jeroni Fajardo, when he clattered his Repsol-Montesa's front brake caliper in the third section. With the brake malfunctioning, Bou elected to take his three minute ‘time-out' and the full Repsol team descended on his mount and changed the entire front brake system within the time limit.
