The Rhayader Enduro, which was due to be the fourth round of the Metzeler British Enduro Championship, has been cancelled due to land issues.

The Club had suffered the lost of one of its main Forests "The Waun" due to illegal riding which had become so serious that the Police and the Forestry Commission mounted a joint operation to stop it.

This is a move the Club has supported however it left a much smaller area to run the enduro in and despite Police presence, the areas left have been used by illegal riders, this combined with felling operations and the torrential rain have left it impossible to provide a suitable course.

The Club, who has run British Championship enduros for many years, is bitterly disappointed as it knows how much many riders look forward to the "Rhayader" and is annoyed that illegal riding has once again cost legal riders a first class event.
