Following the departure of Martin Barr, Maxxis Henderson LPE Kawasaki have decided to move experienced 450 rider, Ray Rowson up to the MX1 class on the Kawasaki KX450F.

With considerable experience in the class already – including race wins – expectations are high for the new team and rider combination for this weekend, where Ray will make his debut at the second round of the Red Bull Pro Nationals series at Fatcat Motoparc, near Doncaster.

The team's other rider, Connor Walkley, will remain on the KX250F in the MX2 class with a strategy to expand this to two riders should circumstances come about.

Speaking of the development, team owner, Steve James, was upbeat: "This was a no-brainer decision. Ray was the natural candidate for the MX1 ride and we are really confident about his prospects. With another possible rider in MX2 as well, it just goes to prove that things are on the front foot and optimism is high as ever within the team.”
