Following two days of racing in southern Pennsylvania, round four of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship geared-up for some fantastic battles at the High Point Raceway.

And after some spectacular racing Kawasaki's Ryan Villopoto pulled away to grab both moto wins and
extend his lead in the 450 class.

Meanwhile, in the 250s it was a battle of the KTMs as both Marvin Musquin and Ken Roczen fought their way to a win and second place apiece – Musquin nicking the
overall due to a better moto two
result.

After finishing third overall at last week's race, Villopoto was back to his winning ways.

As the gate dropped for the opening moto Team Honda Muscle Milk's Justin Barcia grabbed another holeshot but it wasn't long before Villopoto took over at the front.

Behind these two, Tyla Rattray started off in third, as Malcolm Stewart followed close behind before crashing out in the early stages.

In the meantime, KTM's Ryan Dungy was making a charge after a mid pack start, passing Rattray then Barcia to take command of second place.

Once there he set after Villopoto but the Kawasaki rider was flying, and took a clear win, with Dungey second as Barcia held on for third.

In the second moto James Stewart, who suffered in the first moto after getting hit in the face by a rock, came back strongly and quickly assumed control at the front early on in the opening lap.

Dungey and Josh Grant battled for second, before Dungey made a pass stick and headed off.

Villopoto, meanwhile, had been working his way through to the front of the pack, slowly picking off riders and passing Dungey in the process and working his way up to make a challenge on Stewart at the front.

It wasn't to be Stewart's day as the Suzuki rider suffered mechanical issues, slowing him down
and preventing him finishing the race.

This left the track clear for Villopoto to sail to his second win, with Dungey grabbing another second place ahead of Mike Alessi.

However it was Tyla Rattray's 4-4 place that gave him third overall and his first 450 career podium.

"I'm really looking forward to the Budds Creek track next round,” said Villopoto.
