Salminen unstoppable in E1 World Championships

After two days of racing in the USA, it is clear that E1 supremo Juha Salminen of the KTM Enduro Factory team is an unstoppable force in the world championship competition for the small engine bikes.
Salminen retained his perfect scorecard for the season, winning both races inHancock, USA, to have 10 victories in 10 races so far held this season. As athome in the forested landscape of New York State as he is in his native Finland,Salminen coasted home to a comfortable victory, crossing the finish line with a1:26.32 margin on second placed Marc Germain.
Although he also won onSaturday Juha said that he felt more comfortable on the bike on Sunday. "Ididn't feel good all day on Saturday but we made some adjustments and today itwas near perfect conditions.” He also got a lot of support from the spectators. "There were a lot of fans and people who knew me from racing in the USA for thepast two years so it was a nice atmosphere.”
Juha is looking forwardto racing next weekend across the northern border in Canada. "It's a new venuefor me and I am interested to see how the track and the conditions will be,” hesaid. "I have a comfortable margin lead in the standings but I always go out andtry to do my best in every race.”
Fellow KTM factory rider AlessandroBelometti was seventh on Sunday. The Italian rider was fifth in Saturday'scompetition.
