Round three of the Toughsheet National Twin-shock MX Championship took place at Allfields, Condover, near Shrewsbury, on Sunday, hosted superbly by the CumbriaTwin-shock Club

Track preparations carried out by the Shrewsbury club members meant the circuit was in prime condition and watered to perfection.

The track is a good length, with grippy soil which starts on the top field and meanders down through the valley before reappearing over the table top and back onto the start loop.

Around 150 riders turned up and the Wulfsport Expert class were first to the line.

Gary Parker led the charge in race one but was picked off by series leader Michael Smith on the second lap and Smith charged ahead all the way to the flag, pulling out a healthy lead to take the win.

Young Joel Hughes came through to take a fine second ahead of Parker, Lee Holland, and Lee Buck.

Race two ran to the same script with Parker again taking the holeshot, and the only change from the first race was that Willie Burgess claimed fourth ahead of Buck and Mark Connole.

In the final encounter Smith made the perfect start and checked out to make it three wins from three to nail the overall and extend his series lead.

The CI Sport Inters class again mixed it with the Experts and acquitted themselves well.

Adam Griggs was on fire with two wins securing took the overall from second-race winner Mark Burrows.

Reece Winsor finished the first race minus his seat and rear mudguard but re-appeared for the second on John Marsh's HPF.

Two second-place finishes gave him the final podium position from Steve Morgan and Glyn Lawrence.
