Simpson completes Motocross of Nations team

Newly appointed Motocross of Nations Team Manager Steve Dixon made his decision on the final rider line-up for the coveted event this weekend in Franciacorta Italy.
Tommy Searle, Billy MacKenzie and Shaun Simpson are the definitive line up. Simpson isreplacing the injured Carl Nunn who sustained a broken leg during a recent racemeeting.
Simpson stepped up to MX1 at the final round of the Maxxis Championshipat Landrake where he pulled in a second place finish during the firstmoto.
Dixon explained his decision saying: "I've considered his resultsabroad as well as his British results and that is why I've decided togo with Shaun Simpson. He proved here at Landrake that he can ride a450. It's a shame Billy accidently took him down in the second moto butI saw what happened and I watched him come back through the pack.Stephen Sword, James Noble and Jake Nicholls also had brilliant racesso it was a very tough decision considering I've just acquired the jobthree weeks ago. I think we are in a good position so I want everyoneto get behind the team and support us as we go for a podium. I think wewill do well as we have a strong team.”
The Red Bull Motocross of Nations will take place on Sunday 4th October at Franciacorta in Italy.
