Simpson passes his motorcycle test

Road success for motocross star - 2008 MX2 British Motocross Champion and World number four Shaun Simpson showed that his success is not just limited to the track, with the twenty year old from Fife in Scotland having passed his motorcycle test earlier today.

It was a double celebration for the Simpson family, with Shaunsyounger brother and mechanic, Stefan also taking and passing hismotorcycle test at the same time.

With the motocross season having already come to a close, the Simpsonduo has used the last few weeks to embark on an intensive trainingcourse in order to complete and pass the various parts of the new stylemotorcycle road test.

This was Shauns first attempt at taking the test, and as expected theprofessional off road rider passed with ease. Speaking about his latestachievement Simpson said. I have wanted to take my test for some time,but in the past it has been difficult to find the time to go throughthe training and to take the test. Whilst I was confident of my ownability on a bike, I still felt quite nervous.

Shaun continued. I have no immediate plans to go out and buy a roadbike or any particular need to get my licence, but it is certainlyhandy to have, as I am sure in the future I will have plenty ofopportunities to put it to good use.

The soon to be factory KTM rider Simpson will be in attendance at theDirt Bike Show, held at Stoneleigh Park near Coventry on Thursday 14thand Friday 15th November. Shaun will spend most of his time on the KTMUK stand where he will be available to sign autographs and chat withhis many loyal fans.

In addition to his KTM duties, Simpson will be interviewed on themain stage and will also be visiting the RDH Motorhome Centre stand,who are kindly supplying him with a vehicle for the 2009 season.
