Skegness sand blast this weekend
By Team TMX on 4th Nov 15
ITS the big end of season AMCA sand blast this coming weekend Saturday and Sunday, November 7/8 as all roads lead to Skegness for the sixth staging of a major beach race.
Year-on-year this event grows in popularity and in 2014 attracted record rider entries and crowds in excess of 20,000 people!
Sponsored by the East Lindsey District Council and Integro Doodson, the weekend's action starts at 10am on Saturday with a 90-minute contest for Solo Clubman and Youth
At noon it's then the turn of the Quads and Sidecars to take to the Lincolnshire sand for a race of two hours in duration.
On Sunday and it's all about the big one and the Adult Solo contest which blasts off at 11.30am as riders thrill the massive crowd in three hours of stamina draining competition, all going in search of that lovely £1,000 winners cheque.
Previous Skeggy victors include the likes of Milko Potisek, Nez Parker, Nathan Watson and Dan Thornhill.
Indeed 2014 winner Thornhill has already got his entry in for the 2015 race but who will be there to challenge him?
Spectators can watch the event for free, although the public car parks in Skegness are council managed so seasonal charges will apply.
Earth moving equipment courtesy of LPE(Lincs Plant Hire) and the hard-working AMCA Events were on-site from Tuesday onwards to begin their construction of the circuit.
This year's challenge is promised to be another tough yet enjoyable track, heading further down the beach and providing even more entertainment for both the riders and spectators!
So, don't miss out and make sure you are at Skegness this weekend for some great beach action!
