The idea behind the series is to combine the points from both the three-round winter and summer championships to come up with a year-long, six-round series champion. The plan is the brainchild of experienced promoters Peter Brock of Broxx and Ken Winstanley of KWSMX fame with the soon to be renamed AMCA sanctioning the series. The big news is the inclusion of a youth class for 11-14-year-olds who'll be racing on modified two-stroke 85cc motocross machines. The 85cc S4 class will have controlled wheel and tyre modifications to keep the class cheapish and simple. Big name riders signed up for the events include Matt Winstanley, Christian Iddon, Danni Muller and Frederic Fiorentino who'll battle it out in traditional engine-size related classes and super-final style events. The winter leg of the combined championship kicks off at the Three Sisters circuit in Wigan on January 22/23 and more details can be found by contacting co-promoter Tony Brock on 01942 888100 or by email - info@broxx.co.uk.
