AFTER the early summer break, the RDH Motorhome Centre National Twin-shock series returned with a bang this last weekend with a two-day meeting at Warmingham Lane, Sandbach, Cheshire, hosted by the Cumbria Twin-shock Club.

Intermittent showers through-out the weekend kept the dust at bay and resulted in the track being in top condition to allow for some excellent racing.
In the Over 50 class on Saturday it was the Stuart Miller show in the first two races as the Maico-man blasted his way to two opening victories. But a mistake in the final race allowed Martin Snape by and he took a deserved race victory. On Sunday Cumbrian Peter Lightfoot stormed to two victories. Snape knew a good finish in the final encounter would give him the overall and he stormed into the lead and never looked back, taking the race and the overall.
Some of the best racing was in the Wulfsport Masters. On day one Roy Wells took the two opening victories ahead of Alan Eaves, Russell Watson and Wayne Partington but Eaves took the final race. On Sunday it was Partington again at the front early but Eaves secured his second race victory. In the penultimate encounter it was a Four-stroke battle for the lead between Partington's Husky and the HPF power of Watson. Watson claimed the victory. Entering the final race, only one point separated Wells, Watson and Eaves for the overall as Pete Mathia

took a lonely race victory. Eaves and Wells battled it out and as they raced around the final lap and Eaves squeezed by for second in the race and the overall by just one point.
In the Intermediates the action was between current series leader Dave Tunnicliff and Jem Parker. On day one Parker claimed three great victories with Tunnicliff struggling with bike problems. On day two Tunnicliff raced to a convincing race win but Parker was soon back to secure his fourth win. Tunnicliff took the final race but Parker bagged the overall.
