That's a Morlais

Motocross

After just a two-week break, it was back to the ACU Events sponsored British Trials Championships last Sunday with The Mitchell Trial, held once again at the excellent Morlais Quarry, just outside of Merthyr Tydfil. East South Wales Centre were the organisers and as is the norm with the Championship there were 12 subs to be ridden over three laps with a five-hour, 30-minute time allowance.

In the Championship and Experts B it was business as usual with Gas Gas ace James Dabill and defiant Scorpa wizard Darren Brice maintaining their 100 per cent British Championship record. There was change though in the disappointingly small Experts A group when young Eastern Centre rising star Jack Sheppard claimed his first class victory with a narrow single-mark win over class leader, Scot Gary Macdonald.
