Catch up on some of this week's Motocross news...

Will the Dutch GP be back at Assen next year? After fans almost filled the main grandstand from end to end any doubts were quickly allayed.
Greg Atkins' track was short but challenging and the action absolutely top-drawer, even if YS thought it was ‘...not spectacular enough' which presumably means it wasn't littered with jumps.

The FIM is cracking down on noise test cheats. RPM tests have also been implemented and teams have been ordered to declare their RPM level as some have been trying to pass the ‘Two Metre Max' test with a rev restrictor. By 2016
the RPM equipment and the noise metre should be one unit.

Gordon Crockard, called up by Laurence Spence to represent Ireland at the last minute for the 2014 Nations, returns the favour next week at Farleigh Castle.
"I'm rider-manager for the Irish team at the Vets MXdN and have persuaded Laurence to race.”

After his horrendous crash in Mantova, Steven Frossard is now back in France and is receiving treatment in a specialist clinic in Lyon. He has regained movement in his right leg and has sensation in the left.

It is confirmed that Jordi Tixier will not race again this year after an operation to fix the damage in his right hand last week.

It was good to see Rui Goncalves back at Assen. "I'm not up to speed yet,” he said, "but the only way to do that is to race and I want to lead Portugal at the Nations.”

While several remaining GP regulars will dip out on the transatlantic tour, South African Calvin Vlaanderen is set to return for his debut in the HSF KTM team after missing all season through pre-season injuries to his arm and elbow.
