Triumph TF 250-X refined for 2026
By Team TMX on 15th Jul 25

Triumph Motorcycles has unveiled a host of refinements to its acclaimed TF250X motocross model, aimed firmly at boosting performance, durability and rider experience. According to Triumph, the upgraded TF250X now delivers crisper power delivery, faster launches and racehoned control – all wrapped in the bike’s signature dynamic style.
A revised airbox and silencer - designed to comply with the latest FIM and AMA noise regulations - maximise airflow without compromising Triumph’s distinctive engine note. Together with new engine mapping, the result is a smoother, faster power curve and enhanced throttle response across the rev range.
Triumph has introduced a premium Exedy clutch, engineered for more direct engagement, greater torque capacity and greater durability under race conditions. Complementing the engine upgrades, updated suspension tuning offers improved midstroke control, balanced chassis dynamics and superior cornering stability.
Practical updates include a redesigned battery tray for easier access and a clearer, more accurate oillevel sight glass - supporting better reliability and simpler servicing.
Visually, the TF250X now features striking 2026spec livery: inmould decals in Triumph Performance Yellow add aggressive flair and ensure standout track presence.
Since its 2023 debut, the TF250X has benefitted from close collaboration with motocross legend RickyCarmichael and World Enduro Champion Iván Cervantes. It has set a new benchmark in the 250cc class with a factorygrade KYB suspension, advanced rider electronics and an impressive powertoweight ratio.
“The TF250X has already made a huge impact in the motocross world, delivering podiumfinish performances in the 2025 AMA Supercross Championship, as well as the MX2 class in MXGP,” said Chief Product Officer SteveSargent. “This TF250X, built for 2026, is the result of relentless development and feedback from our factory riders. With sharper power delivery, refined suspension, and advanced electronics, it’s built to give riders the edge they need to win.
“These updates will help all riders to make the most of the available torque, improving the feel, acceleration and response, so it is even more competitive. The new Exedy clutch and enhanced engine calibration will be compelling reasons for fans to try the Triumph ready for the upcoming season.”
