Weston signs up Coppins, Knight, Everts and Ramon

CURRENT World Enduro champion, and current GNCC pace-setter, David Knight, has confirmed his entry for the 25th anniversary Weston Beach Race.The Red Bull factory KTM rider will return to the North Somerset coast to try for back-to-back wins, after his 2006 victory, against one of the strongest line-ups ever assembled for the three-hour enduro.
The Manxman will face stiff opposition from KTM race team boss,Stefan Everts, who will be keen to put one over Knighter afterfinishing second to him last year.
Josh Coppins, who replaced Everts in the Rinaldi Yamaha team, willalso start as a pre-race favourite despite still working his way backto full fitness after the injuries sustained during his world motocrosschampionship campaign.
In addition, newly crowned World MX1 champion, Steve Ramon, willmakes a welcome return to Weston looking to end his season on a winningnote.
Beach race promoter, RHL Activities, is determined that this year'sWeston event should be a memorable occasion and has pulled out all thestops to make the beach-race a true showcase of off-road motorcycleracing.
With entries pouring in by the day it could well be the beach of athousand bikes' when the flag drops to signal the start of the race onSunday, October 21.
