Motocross

THE third round of the CCM-sponsored MMX British Sidecar-cross Champs was held at Torrington, Devon. Again, defending champs, Stuart Brown and Luke Peters were missing from the line-up with driver, Stuart still suffering with a wrist injury.

This left the challenge for the race wins open, and Scott Wilkinson and Gary Burt on top form, stakes a claim to their first ever British championship race win and the pair went on to take the overall on the day.

John and Mark Watson picked up a 30-second penalty on their qualifying time for failing to stop at a red flag' which put them on the back row for the start of each moto, but this did not stop them putting on a great show even taking a win in the final race to take second overall and hold on to the championship lead.

Third overall went to John Lyne and Pete Girling, which was great to see them together on the British championship podium for the first time.
