THE last of the various European national championships was completed on Sunday at Lichtenvoorde, Holland, where Daniel Willemsen and Reto Grutter took the title from the Visscher pairing.

This was in addition to the Belgian and World titles Willemsen and Grutter had already won, where out of 38 races they competed in over these three championships they were only beaten once.

In Germany the title went to Swiss rider Andy Burgler and his passenger, Martin Betschart, while in France the winners were Geert Devoldere and Edouard Chereau from John Lyne and Pete Girling.

As usual in the Czech Republic, it was a fight to the end between Tomas and Ondrej Cermak and Vaclav and Marek Rozehnal with Rozehnal taking the title by just 37-points.
