WITH Yorkshire taking the worst of Britain's wet weather in the past week, many people thought that the fifth round of the DEP Two-stroke British Cham-pionship would definitely not happen this weekend - but it did and it proved to be a goodie as well.

The DEP team worked wonders with a Finningley MotoPark surface that resembled Weston beach. A few diggers here and someextra pairs of hands there and the track was ready for race actionfirst thing Sunday morning.

The 125 cc class went out for qualifying first andsome of the less experienced riders struggled with the deep sandysurface but, after three successful sessions, the track was beginningto take shape, which made for exciting racing from the Expert class allthe way down to the Juniors.

David Willet proved once again that his two-strokeskills are up there with the best and walked away with yet anotheroverall win in the Expert 125cc class.
