X-Country heads west

The ACU British X-Country championship heads to Devon on July 1, with the organisers hoping some fast locals will come and give the series regulars a run for their money.
The venue for round three at Yarcombe – EX14 9LZ – will be familiar to many West Country riders, as it has previously been used for local events.
"We have a lot of good riders from the West Country that support the British championship, so it's only right we have a round in their back yard,” said Jason Smith, of series organisers QEUK.
"And, we also want to give those local riders who can't do the whole championship, the chance to try their luck against the title regulars.”
Paul Winrow currently leads the adult championship from Carl Bunce and Sheldon Seal, with Jack Naylor topping the youth field from Elliot Downes and Jordan Hickman.
The series has categories for all abilities, including Championship, Expert, Clubman, Sport Utility, Utility and Novice adult classes, and 250cc Modified, Standard, Stock and 150cc Geared youth classes. Entry forms can be downloaded from the QEUK website at www.qeuk.co.uk
