For the third time in a row Xavier Boog won a French Elite Championship round, and is now strongly leading the series with two more races to go.

Winner in Ernée after great racing againstMickael Pichon and Marvin Musquin, Xavier did an impressive third heatto claim this win and could be crowned as French Champion 2010 duringthe penultimate race in Iffendic mid July.

Third of thequalifying race on Saturday, Xavier was third again on Sunday in theopening heat and came to the second heat strongly motivated. The kidfrom Alsace grabbed the holeshot and then leading the entire race, tobeat Pichon and Musquin with the fastest lap time. The third and lastheat was more difficult for him as another rider picked his gate on thegrid and forced Xavier to move outside; the KRT rider missed a goodstart and was in the pack after a few corners, in fifteenth position. On a technical and rough track he did an impressive performance, comingfourth after ten minutes and then posting fast laps – including thefastest one – to join Pichon, Musquin and Boissière who all battled forthe win. None of them could cope with the pressure from Xavier as hepassed all three of them to claim his second heat win this week-end,and the overall classification. He is now leading the MX1classification by 85 points, with two more rounds – Iffendic in Julyand Lacapelle Marival in August – to go.

Jonathan Barragandidn't enter the Spanish championship this weekend, as the Spaniarddidn't feel yet ready for racing; Jonathan started practicing ten daysago, and expects to be back to the GP's in Latvia or Sweden. In KesterSébastien Pourcel raced a round of the Belgian series, and with a sixthand an eighth positions he prepared the three upcoming GP's – Germany,Latvia and Sweden – that the series will visit in the following weeks.

XavierBoog: "The first part of the weekend was not so great, but I improvedmy results in each race. Before the last race I was forced to move onthe grid as one rival took my place, and I came on a dusty one. I lostgrip at the start and came to the first corner in the pack, and nearlycrashed; it's a shame as we had perfect settings for the start afterthe first race, and when I came back fourth the leaders were far away.I focused on my riding, posted a series of fast laps and joined them towin the last race. I ended my weekend with a great performance, that'sa good training for the upcoming GP's”

François Lemariey: "Thisweekend Xavier was impressive, especially during the last race againstPichon and Musquin. We can't wait to be at the next GP races now! Heproved during the second race that he can holeshot the pack, but weknow that we have to work on this point as the start is so importantnow in the GP's”
