2023 Trial GB - St Davids Trial Results

A quick catch-up on the Talon ACU Trial GB series following the second round which was the St David's trial staged at Aberdulais in South Wales. It proved to be a tough test but far more rideable than the weather-affected opener at Hookwood.
With the absence of reigning champ Toby Martyn – competing in Pamplona, Spain, in the FIM X-Trial World Championship – Jack Peace romped home in Trial GB as young gun Harry Hemingway bagged his first runner-up berth in the Premier class, giving Billy Green something to think about as the season progresses.
Jack Dance was next with the surprise being Harry Turner deciding to move up from T2 into the Premier class, in order to set his personal bar as high as possible.
With one round result to discard in TrialGB, Toby is still in with a real chance of retaining his title.
In Trial 2, the top three finishers from the opening round were all absent and young George Hemingway took full advantage not only finishing as the top 125cc rider but taking the overall victory – and he now leads the series!
Isle of Wight regular Chris Stay nailed the runner-up spot from the experienced James Fry.
The Youth 125 class is, unfortunately, a bit thin this year as many former challengers have moved up to the adult ranks but Harry Blackwell, Harison Skelton and Daniel Da Breo look forward to regular battles.
In the popular Expert class, it looks like it could be a regular clash between multi-time champ Dan Thorpe and Brad Bullock as they have traded first and second place in the opening two rounds.
