Fujinami undergoes wrist operation

Japanese Repsol Honda'sTakahisa Fujinami has has surgery ona significant left hand injury sustained during the Trial Urbain de Carpentras in France
Takahisa Fujinami fell during the seventh edition of the Trial Urbain in Carpentras, France, fracturing the scaphoid bone in his left wrist and receiving treatment the same week.
The rider was subjected to osteosythesis surgery using a compression screw to fix and stabilise the injury.
Fujigas will be out of action for a four-week period, however, he should be back in action for the final event of the Championship.
Takahisa Fujinami currently sits in third place in the overall standings some fourteen points ahead of the ensuing fourth place rival, with just two trials still remaining.
