Honda Montesa release 2017 Cota 4RT260

Honda Montesa has just released the first pics of the 2017 Cota 4RT260 and the up-specced RR (Race Replica) version.
Big news for the new model year is a white colour scheme for the 4RT260 which, teamed with the natural finish aluminium fuel tank, makes for a much lighter looking bike.
The classy aluminium chassis remains untouched while the suspension features the latest front forks from Tech and at the rear is a quality R16V unit.
Last year saw a major change in the engine room with the four-stroke motor being tuned for more power but, more importantly, a marked decrease in engine braking – something which had been a constant criticism as the machine is compared to two-stroke rivals. Engineers solved this with a crankcase decompression system.
The Race Replica retains the stand-out Repsol colour scheme as used by nine-time Trial World Champion Toni Bou and his team-mates Takahisa Fujinami and Jaime Busto.
Discerning purchasers of the RR are treated to what is perceived as the ultimate in trials suspension – Showa forks and rear unit – which are unique to Honda Montesa. Both machines have been treated to a slightly longer kickstarter to make starting easier.
The 2017 model Cota is expected to be released to dealers in September.
