The Beta Motorcycles Factory Trial Team has confirmed the signing of Jaime Busto for the 2026/2027 season.

The move sees one of the sport’s most established front-runners link up with a manufacturer deeply rooted in trials, in what looks to be a significant step for both parties heading into the next championship cycle.

Busto, from Górliz in Spain’s Basque Country, has trials in his DNA. Introduced to the sport by his father and grandfather, he was riding from the age of three and competing by six, beginning his career in the Catalan youth system to build a strong technical base.

His rise through the ranks was rapid. He claimed the Youth 125 title in 2012 before making his mark internationally in 2014, winning the FIM World Cup - then the junior world championship - with seven victories from 13 rounds.

That same year, he stepped up to the premier class and immediately impressed, finishing sixth overall against far more experienced opposition.

Since then, Busto has established himself as a consistent contender at the highest level. Alongside multiple national titles in the junior categories, he secured the Spanish Championship in 2021 and has been a regular podium threat in the FIM Trial World Championship, including a third-place overall finish.

His move to Beta signals more than just a rider change. The Italian manufacturer has long been a key player in the discipline, and Busto’s arrival strengthens its factory effort with proven pace and experience at world level.

With the 2026/2027 seasons on the horizon, expectations will be high as both rider and team look to challenge at the front of the field.
