S3 Parts series update
By Team TMX on 30th Apr 25

The 2025 ACU S3 Parts National Championship has already reached the halfway stage with the Easter Monday Lomax National Trial, run in North Wales, representing round four of the eight-round series.
The S3 is the most popular ACU series using traditional single-lap, road-based events and incorporates Expert, Clubman and Clubman Over 40 classes with the two Clubman divisions benefitting from eased sections.
There's a familiar look at the top of the Expert standings with serial National winner Dan Thorpe having won the opening Westmorland club's Lonsdale Cup while Sam Yeomans has been consistent, without yet winning a round, to sit just five points behind Dan.
Coming up fast though is Tom Minta, returning to trials from enduro, Tom has maximum points from the last two rounds - the Chris Carter in deepest Yorkshire and the Lomax (he missed the first two) and is just 15 down on the lead.
Southern centre rider Tom Moss won the Colmore to sit sixth in the title chase.
In the Clubman class, Craig Talbot holds the advantage having scored a 20-point maximum in the opener but Dan Tuley is chasing hard and max points in the Lomax sees him just 10 points down while Yorkie Dave Mawer has been consistent in third.
Cumbrian Richard Gaskell from Keswick holds the advantage in the Over 40s having won his 'home' round, the Lonsdale, before skipping the Colmore and then winning the Chris Carter across the border in Yorkshire.
Southern challenger Phil Wiffen opted out of the long trip to the Cumbrian opener but has scored heavily since including top points in the Lomax.
Ben Skinner sits in third while MTB legend Rob Warner made a one-off ride at the Colmore and showed his skill with a maximum points haul.
