Trials Take A Look

Brian Dale got involved with motorcross when he was 16/17 years of age, then moved from motocross to Pre-65 for a short time, and he now enjoys British Bike Trials and restoring bikes, including the ones shown here...

The bikes pictured are:

1 A Cheetah Husky 250cc, it is a one-off prototype with a detuned motocross engine, that never went into production.  This bike was ridden by Gorden Adsett who at the time was a works rider for Cheetah

2  A Villiers 250cc, this being the most popular model in its time, manufactured by Bob Gollner and Mike Whitlock who started the Cheetah company

3 A Cheetah fitted with a Triumph Cub engine. Only five bikes made. This one also included oil in the frame, also manufactured again by Bob Gollner and Mike Whitlock in 1966/1967

4 This bike is a Villiers 250cc engine, fitted with REH head and barrel. This bike has a disc brake which was a added extra in its day
