Take a look: Eddie Aitkin's Drayton BSA
By John Dickinson on 5th Apr 18
Well known north east rider and dealer Eddie Aitkin turned up at the Castleside clubs KIA Championship round with this lovely newbuild Drayton BSA C15 Britshock.
New from the ground up, the heart of the unit is of course the fully rebuilt BSA C15 motor which has been boosted from 250cc to 280cc and a major mod has been the fitting of a Pete Kirby diaphragm clutch. The motor fits neatly into the Drayton chassis which was of course originally designed for the BSA Bantam engine but will take pretty much any motor!

The build sports Rob Green aluminium wheel hubs and a plethora of one-off titanium fastners and a beautifully crafted rear brake pedal knocked-up by ace machinist Nigel Allan. With REH forks up front and Betor rear shocks the suspension is well taken care of.
Eddie rode the bike for the first time at the excellent Lambshield event and said that for a first time out it rode beautiful and the engine was loosening up nicely by the end of the day. The lightweight Beeza has been built by Eddie to ride in the Scottish Pre-65 Two Day in contrast to the beefy Triumph twin he had been campaigning. Should be a joy to ride in Scotland.
