Trials Take A Look

Page 5 goes back to the swinging 60s and a 1963 Cotton Cobra owned by Graham Nock and showed at the Stafford Classic Spring Show.

This is a pretty rare model and while the Villiers Starmaker engine was the latest thing in Villiers two-strokes this is a very rare model as it is fitted with twin carburettors for its single cylinder motor.

In truth this Cobra is presented in better condition than when it rolled out of the Cotton factory.

Cotton was a company that pretty much ploughed its own furrow with interesting designs but of course ultimately went the way of all the British companies - along with their Spanish counterparts - once the Japanese got into their stride.

Graham also presented a rare 1965  DOT "White Strength” model that is pretty special with its Alpha crankases fitted with DOT head and barrel - again in stunning condition.
