TeamGB locked in for 2026 Trial des Nations

The ACU has named its TeamGB line-up for this year’s FIM Trial des Nations in Arteixo, Spain on 26–27 September - albeit without the usual fanfare of an actual press release - and it’s a squad built to win, not just make up the numbers.
Team manager Sam Connor has made the calls, working alongside newly appointed women’s boss Donna Fox, putting together what he reckons is the strongest possible British effort across all classes.
The Men’s team is made up of George Hemingway, Harry Hemingway and Harry Turner while Kaytlyn Adshead, Emma Bristow and Alice Minta will represent the Women’s team. Young guns Matilda Arbon and Harison Skelton will represent Team GB in the Challenge class.
Connor says selections were heavily based on TrialGB form, backed up by FIM results and performances in major UK nationals like the Scottish Six Days.
“This selection process was largely focused on ACU TrialGB performance with an overlay of results from FIM events and other ACU national trials in the UK including the Scottish Six Days Trial,” explained Connor. “The ACU has had to make some difficult decisions this year, but I believe the blend and balance of the chosen riders will give us the best chance of performing well as a team on this world stage.
“Our ambition is to win all three classes. We are not there to make up numbers and we expect our TeamGB riders to put in the work and effort, both on and off the machine over the coming months, to arrive in Arteixo in the best possible shape.”
One of the headline returns is Emma Bristow, back in TdN action after a break and already showing top form in the 2026 TrialGB series. A 10-time TrialGP Women’s World Champion, her experience alone is a huge boost for the squad.
We’re buzzing to have Emma back,” Connor added. “She brings a massive amount to the team.”
The Trial des Nations has been the ultimate team test since 1984, when France took the first win in Poland. Since then, it’s evolved into a multi-class showdown, with separate men’s and women’s competitions and, more recently, the mixed-rider Challenge class.
Spain has absolutely dominated the premier men’s class for the last two decades, while the women’s and support categories have seen a wider mix of winners.
Team GB’s men’s team has four wins to its name, while the women have been even more successful - taking 10 victories since their class was introduced in 2000, including back-to-back wins in 2023 and 2024.
