Repsol Honda’s Toni Bou heads to the sixth round of the FIM X-Trial World Championship held at Wiener Neustadt’s Arena Nova on March 15 knowing that he could potentially wrap up his 37th world title provided he wins in Austria and Jaime Busto (GASGAS) places third or lower. The eight-round series allows each rider to drop their worst score and Bou is in a position to put himself mathematically out of reach if Busto has a less-than-stellar night.

Bou’s teammate Gabriel Marcelli will be hoping to reduce the 13-point gap separating him from Busto and establish himself as a consistent podium finisher and title contender. Frenchman Benoit Bincaz (Sherco) is targeting his third final of the 2025 season, hoping to reclaim a podium spot after finishing in the top three in the last two rounds of the previous season.

Joining them will be several riders who have not competed in all five rounds so far but are eager to make their mark in Austria. Among them are Alex Canales (Montesa), who debuted in Stavanger with a fourth-place finish, Matteo Grattarola (Beta) who is currently sixth in the Championship standings and Britain’s Jack Peace (Sherco), returning to the Championship after making his debut in Madrid.

Also lining up is local rider Marco Mempör (TRRS) who placed ninth at this round of the series a year ago.
