Trials

LAST call for the big International Indoor Trial of the year which is of course The Sheffield Indoor 2017 and while the event takes place this Saturday at the Sheffield Arena theres still time to get yourself there and see the best riders in the World.

And yes, that does mean 20 times World Champ – 10 Outdoor, 10 Indoor – Toni Bou on the fabulous factory Repsol Honda and Adam Raga on the factory TRS.

And don't forget that Adam, No.2 in both Outdoor and Indoor series, won Sheffield 2016 on his first official ride on the TRS.

Toni and Adam will be joined by the experienced duo of a third Catalan, Jeroni Fajardo and British favourite James Dabill.

Team-mates at Vertigo in 2016 the pairing will not be in the same camp this time round as Jeroni stays with Dougie Lampkin's team while James makes his official debut on Gas Gas, the factory he last rode for in 2010.

James returns to the Girona-based concern as Team Leader and will be looking for an impressive debut in the first prestigious event of the year.

The final places see three talented young riders given their chance with local lad Jack Price making his Sheffield debut.

Jack made huge strides up the ladder in 2016 and will be hoping to continue that rise, due to hard work and dedication, in 2017 and will enjoy massive crowd support.

An exciting Sheffield debut is sure to be made by Repsol-Honda ‘apprentice' Jaime Busto whose results are as erratic as his skill.

He struggled in the two X-Trial events he contested in 2016 but that experience could be just the kick he needs to go for it in Sheffield – without any World Championship worries.

Finally, Sherco's young challenger Miquel Gelabert gets his chance at the big time thanks to Avondale Management and he will get a fair crack of the whip as do all contenders.

Qualifying at Sheffield will see seven sections and all seven riders will take turns to ride a section first as they will rotate the order at each hazard to ensure total fairness.

The top four will progress to the final when the top qualifier will start last as he has earned the right.

This is your ONLY chance to see the best riders tackle an Arena Trial in Britain this year and if you miss it you'll regret it!
