FOLLOWING the recent launch (previously featured in TMX) of their 2017 Vertigo Combat Camo, Vertigo Motors has announced details of more 2017 models (along with info regarding the new range of Vertigo Power Parts) and you can see the exciting uprated Ice Hell model on page 5 this week.

Representing the absolute pinnacle of trials technology, the new 2017 Vertigo Combat Titanium R is the ultimate model not only in the range but in the entire market sector.

Breaking new ground this is the first ever production trials bike with a titanium frame that has been matched to an equally exotic magnesium swinging arm and engine cases to achieve an exceptional low overall weight.

Again this flagship offering uses the same fuel injected two stroke engine – both in 250cc and 300cc – that has already established itself with two victories at the Scottish Six Days Trial (2015/2016), a national title in the British Championship (2015) and recorded podium finishes in the 2016 FIM Trial World Championship.

And the Titanium R really is reality now as Vertigo team boss and development rider Dougie Lampkin has already bagged one – the very one he rode at Addingham moorside,to prove it exists – and it really is as sensational as promised.

The titanium steel trellis is a work of art and half the weight of the standard steel version, the magnesium swinging arm stands apart and magnesium crankcases and numerous detail touches combine to slice the overall weight to just 65 kilos.

This is some achievement because the standard Camo weight of 69k is hardly porky.

The Titanium R will clearly be a limited edition but Doug says he already has five firm orders – and the price hasn't even been confirmed yet.

But don't you just want one to sit in the house and just look at...
