X-Trial Barcelona preview

The second round of the 2019 FIM X-Trial Championship comes from Barcelona on Sunday when the awesome Palau St Jordi, built for the 1992 Olympic Games, plays host.
The opening round took place in Budapest, Hungary, two weeks ago.
The Solo Moto promoted Barcelona Indoor is the oldest event of its kind in the world, this years event amazingly being the 42nd running although it has been through several venues.
Toni Bou (Repsol Honda) naturally headlines, the 12-times and reigning World Indoor champ has won Barcelona 12 times in total, including the last 10 straight.
Unfortunately there will be no Brits in the line-up unless there are any last-minute changes.
Adam Raga (TRS), Jaime Busto (Gas Gas), Jeroni Fajardo (Gas Gas), Jorge Casales (Vertigo) and Miquel Gelabert (Sherco) are the Spanish armada, veteran Takahisa Fujinami (Repsol Honda) represents Japan, Benoit Bincaz (Beta) waves the French flag, while Italian Luca Petrella (Beta) will be the evenings canon fodder!
As Adam Raga said: Barcelona is so special as for many riders it is our home trial so we all want to win!
As ever, the Barca event kicks-off early at 5pm (worth remembering if you are planning on going and if you fancy a last-minute flight, tickets start at 17 euros!
