2021 X-Trial of Vendee cancelled

The 2021 X-Trial of Vendee has been cancelled because of coronavirus, the FIM has announced.

The French Motorcycling Federation (FFM), the FIM, the championship promoter 2Play and the local organiser have agreed to cancel the season-opening X-Trial of Vendee citing coronavirus and the restrictions on travel.

The X-Trial of Vendee was set to run on May 1 in Mouilleron-le-Captif, western France. The round has not been rescheduled and an alternative venue to keep the series at six rounds has not been announced. Therefore, the 2021 X-Trial championship will now run over five rounds and will not start until October.

In what had increasingly looked to be an inevitable decision, with the slow start to the European vaccination plan and a mixture of lockdown measures across Europe, the series is no longer split between spring and Autumn. There have been no other changes announced at this time. The revised 2021 X-Trial Championship is as follows:
