Toni Bou just got greater

Repsol Hondas Toni Bou extended his own incredible record of FIM World Trial Championships to 10 consecutive crowns on the first day of the final round of the 2016 series, staged at Chiampo in Italy.
And at the same event Britain's Sherco factory rider Emma Bristow achieved a hat-trick of women's world crowns with one round still to go.
Bou took his 10th consecutive title in style on Saturday when he dropped just 13 marks against the 56 of runner-up Adam Raga. The TRS rider was Bou's only mathematical challenger going into the penultimate day's competition.
Just to emphasise his total domination, Bou took another convincing win in the final day's competition on Sunday to take his number of victories in 2016 to 12 from the 15 available.
This latest world outdoor title, added to his 10 consecutive World X-Trial indoor crowns, takes Bou's total number of FIM individual championships to 20.
Bristow has established herself as the dominant force in women's trials in the post Laia Sanz era. The 25-year-old from Boston, Lincolnshire, achieved her hat-trick of titles thanks to four wins from four starts in the 2016 series.
She started off with a double victory at Tong in July and carried her form to Italy with two wins last weekend.
With one round to drop from the five in the series Emma is unbeatable – but will still be looking for a full house of five victories prior to the Trial des Nations in France this weekend when she joins Becky Cook (TRS) and Donna Fox (Sherco) as the trio look to defend the title the British squad has won for the last three years.
